Medical Records
Specialist / Receptionist

Come join the fight for justice for those harmed by the many systems that inexcusably cause harm to others! Parnall & Adams Law is looking for a Medical Records Specialist/Receptionist to join our firm. We are a small, local law firm who handle a whole array of matters from wrongful death to fraud to personal injury, so being able to work with clients who have experienced some type of traumatic event is an extremely important component to this job. Parnall & Adams Law has an incredible team of folks that all share one common passion – helping others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Request medical records for clients including following up with providers & entering those records into our case management software (SmartAdvocate)
  • Answer phone calls – ability to manage more than one call at a time; Spanish as well as English language skills a big plus!
  • Being compassionate and patient with all callers and visitors, regardless of their situation, and being instrumental in making them feel welcomed and comfortable working with our office.
  • Assist team members with other office tasks including gathering information –such as medical records, IPRA requests or sending letters
  • Calendaring and scheduling appointments
  • Learn the office and be able to do a full client intake when needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication & telephone skills
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliance
  • Medical records experience
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Adobe
  • Acrobat and computer based client management software
  • Familiar with web based medical records platforms for requesting & retrieving records
  • Strong attention to detail, organization of your own workload; follow through on assignments

We are a unique law office in that we work with a lot of New Mexico non-profits on different cases and projects. Our team is diverse and it’s important that we work extremely well together. Teamwork is an essential component to our client service and our office mission.

Compensation commensurate with experience. Based on past medical field
qualifications, there may be additional compensation for those who can read the
records, spot key issues, and create detailed summaries for attorneys.

Associate Attorney

Parnall and Adams Law is looking for an attorney to join our team. Attorney should be passionate and aggressive about the pursuit of justice. Experience working wrongful death, medical malpractice, indigenous law, and civil rights is preferred.

Building a strong team that works together is essential to providing the best legal services we can. Must be a team player that possesses empathy and compassion for working difficult but rewarding cases. Salary is negotiable.
